The Administration Division consists of the Chief of Police, Division Commanders, a Support Services Supervisor and a Police Services Analyst.

The chief and his staff coordinate the activities of all divisions within the Police Department. His office is responsible for providing overall leadership, planning, staff assistance, control, and management for the department.

It is also responsible for maintaining relationships with other city departments and citizens, as well as various community and civic groups for the mutual goal of public safety.

As the Chief of Police, I have the distinct privilege to represent the members of the department. We are a full service police department and pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality of public safety services that our residents and business community deserve and expect.

The Beaumont Police Department strives to deliver that “small town” feeling of knowing your police officers while providing progressive and professional police service to the community. You are just as likely to find us at a community event as you are to find us using cutting edge technology to solve a crime. We are dedicated to engaging our community at all levels and maintaining the trust given to us by you.

The Beaumont Police Department provides for the public safety response needs of the community through services that support the Department's commitment to Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS). Through these efforts, the Police Department strives to meet the community's needs for the protection of life and property and enhance the quality of life for our citizens.

Anthony Onodera, Deputy Chief

Deputy Chief's Message

Anthony Onodera, a 28-year law enforcement practitioner, was hired as Deputy Chief to serve as the operational manager of the Beaumont Police Department. Prior to coming to the City of Beaumont, Onodera rose through the ranks of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. During his law enforcement career, he was assigned to various patrol, investigative, undercover, supervisory and management positions. He served as Commander for the Public Affairs unit and, contract cities of Rancho Cucamonga and Yucaipa.

Onodera has a proven track record of advocating for collaborative solutions to societal issues. He possesses a functional knowledge and profound commitment to Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS). He is dedicated to engaging the community at all levels and maintaining the trust that has been established by the progressive and professional members of the Beaumont Police Department.
