BEAUMONT POLICE DEPARTMENT HOLDS FIRST “COFFEE WITH A COP” EVENT

Beaumont, CA – The Beaumont Police Department is set to host its first Coffee with a Cop event on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 9am-11am at the Noble Creek Community Center located at 390 Oak Valley Parkway, Beaumont, CA.

Started by the Hawthorne Police Department in 2011, the concept rose as a grassroots effort to bring community members and law enforcement agencies together to build and grow important relationships. It’s a simple concept that puts real people together over a cup of coffee to discuss important issues affecting their communities.  Since its inception there have been thousands of events in all 50 states across the country and has expanded internationally to 14 countries.[1]

The first Wednesday of October, has been designated as National Coffee with a Cop Day and in keeping with the theme, the Beaumont Police Department is looking forward to hosting its first “Coffee with a Cop” event on this date. The desire is that this event will be the first of many future events meant to build relationships between the Beaumont Police Department and our community.
