On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, the Beaumont Police Department responded to a call for service at the Wells Fargo bank located at 1494 E. 2nd Street Marketplace in the City of Beaumont. The Officer began an investigation of alleged grand theft from a person over the age of 65. During the investigation, Officers determined that the victim had been contacted by two subjects at a business location in the City of Hemet. The subjects approached the victim and shared a story about lottery winnings and needing to utilize the victim’s ID to claim the winnings. The subjects proceeded to convince the victim to drive with them to the bank, where they had the victim withdraw a large sum of cash. The subjects then drove the victim to a second bank in the City of Beaumont and had the victim make a second, larger, withdrawal of an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim reported the theft to bank employees, who contacted authorities.

The photos and video depicts an adult Hispanic female, with dark colored hair, wearing a long sleeve white or cream colored top, black leggings or pants and white tennis shoes, carrying a large black purse. The second subject in the photos and video is a white or Hispanic, balding male, with khaki colored pants, a blue button down shirt and black belt. In the video the male is seen wearing a dark colored jacket. The Beaumont Police Department Detectives are looking for assistance in trying to identify the subjects of this investigation.
