Update as of October 3, 2020:
The Beaumont Police Department has been notified of a post circulating online alleging the motive for the murder/suicide in the City of Beaumont on September 26th, 2020, was politically or racially motivated.
This is an open and active investigation at this time and investigators have not yet determined a motive for the shooting. While there was one other person in the home at the time of the shooting, no other witnesses have come forward and provided statements about what might have led to the shooting. This is a tragic event for the families and their friends along with our community and we would ask others to wait for the investigation to be completed before speculating on a motive that has yet to be determined. Any allegations of political or racial motives are premature.
This being said, if anyone has additional information about this case they are encouraged to contact the Beaumont Police Department at 951-769-8500, information can also be reported anonymously at email@example.com.
