Update on Multi-injury Traffic Collision
The suspect, identified as Thomas Ysiano, age 39, of Indio, was the driver of the 4 door, white, Lincoln and responsible for the multi-injury traffic collision that occurred on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
Ysiano is currently hospitalized recovering from injuries sustained in the collision, but out of custody charges for Felony Driving Under the Influence have been filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s office.
As horrific as this accident was, we were very fortunate there were no fatalities, and all of the subjects survived. As such, the Beaumont Police Department would like to extend our well wishes and prayers to the family members involved in this collision as they continue to recover from their injuries.
Original Release from Saturday, May 11, 2019:
On May 11, 2019, at approximately 2:49 pm, the Beaumont Police Department responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Beaumont Avenue and 6th Street.
Prior to the accident witnesses reported seeing the driver of a 4 door, white Lincoln, heading Westbound at a high rate of speed. Upon reaching Beaumont Avenue the driver was reported to proceed through a red light and colliding with a passenger van, causing the van to overturn.
Two people were critically injured and three with major injuries were transported to area hospitals. The driver who was believed to be under the influence was also injured and transported to an area hospital.
