Beaumont, CA - On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at approximately 2:38 p.m., the Beaumont Police Department received a 911 call from a resident reporting someone in her home was shot. Officers responded to the 1100 Block of Sea Lavender Lane and located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Both the male and female who were the only occupants located inside the residence were uncooperative with officers as to what may have led to the shooting.
The male was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries and the female was detained pending further investigation. Detectives from the Beaumont Police Department responded to the location to assume the investigation.
After further investigation it was determined the male’s injuries were self-inflicted. The male was identified as a wanted felon and is prohibited from being in possession of a firearm.
