Beaumont, CA - On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at approximately 2:38 p.m., Officers received a call reference unknown subjects in the backyard of a residence in the 11400 block of Armour Avenue. Officers arrived and found a home had been burglarized. A perimeter was established and an occupied vehicle was located believed to have been involved in the burglary. The driver, a 16 year old juvenile from Perris was detained. Officers, with the assistance of the California Highway Patrol’s Airship, canvased the neighborhood for several hours but were unable to locate the additional three suspects.
Security camera footage from neighbors depicted the three suspects running from the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. The three outstanding suspects were described as slender black males, between the ages of 16-20, wearing hooded sweatshirts with decals on the back. The suspects removed an unknown amount of property from the victim’s home. The driver was arrested for residential burglary and criminal conspiracy. Incident to the arrest, the vehicle was searched and officers located a ski mask, gloves, narcotics and other miscellaneous stolen items. During contact with the juvenile’s parent, officers recognized the juvenile’s 17 year-old brother as also being involved in the burglary. That juvenile was detained in the police department lobby and both juveniles were transported to juvenile hall.
