Beaumont, CA - The Beaumont Youth Council held its first meeting yesterday afternoon at the Beaumont Civic Center. In November of 2022, the Beaumont City Council authorized the formation of a Beaumont Youth Council. The Youth Council is an advisory board to the City Council, intended for high school age students who are interested in municipal government and volunteer work.
Yesterday's meeting was held at 4:30 p.m. at the Beaumont Civic Center. During the meeting the group discussed council roles, elections, by-laws and future meetings. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month and agendas are posted on the city website. The public is welcome to attend the meetings.
The City Council is excited about the formation of the Youth Council and look forward to working with them to address the needs and concerns of the youth within the City of Beaumont.
