Used Oil Collection
Waste Management can provide residents, upon request, with used motor oil containers and heavy-duty zip-lock bags. Residents can recycle up to two (2) gallons of used motor oil per month using this service. Contact WM at (800)423-9986 to arrange curbside pick-up in advance. Please ensure motor oil is sealed in the provided container and sealed in the bag provided to avoid spills. Used motor oil must be recycled and lawfully disposed of.
Medical Sharps Disposal
Residents receive one (1) free mailback sharps container per calendar year, with additional containers available for an additional cost. Contact WM at (800)423-9986 to receive a Sharps Mail-Back container. Visit rcwaste.org for more options on sharps disposal.
Residents with Disabilities
Beaumont residences where all adults residing in the household have disabilities that prevent them from setting their waste carts on the curb for collection can receive trash cart valet service free of charge. Contact Waste Management at (800)423-9986 to add this service.
Holiday Schedule
Waste collection does not occur on the following holidays:
| New Year's Day | Memorial Day | Independence Day | Labor Day | Thanksgiving Day | Christmas Day |
When a holiday falls on a weekday, collection will be delayed by one day (through Saturday) for the remainder of the week. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be no delay in service.
Additional/Replacement Containers
An additional container for recycling and yard waste ONLY is offered at no additional charge to your monthly collection. There is a minimal charge for an additional trash container. Please contact Waste Management at (800) 423-9986 directly to schedule the delivery of any additional carts. Damaged containers will be replaced free of charge.
Organic Waste Recycling
As a California state (SB 1383) requirement, residents are required to recycle their food/organic waste into an organics cart (green lid). Use your organic waste bin to collect your food waste. Please do not deposit your organic waste in a plastic bag. As an alternative, you can use a paper bag or wrap them with paper. For more information, visit Waste Management's Website.
Container Color Transition
California State Senate Bill (SB) 1383 requires collection containers to be uniform in color across the state by 2036. In the City of Beaumont, carts will be gradually transitioned to the new color scheme—recycling containers will have a blue lid, organic waste carts will have a green lid, and trash containers will have a black lid. WM will make these changes gradually to minimize disruption to your service.
