[ARCHIVED] Fire Station No. 106 Groundbreaking Ceremony

Your City at Work: Fire Station No. 106 Groundbreaking Image

Beaumont, CA – On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the City of Beaumont Council Members along with representatives from CalFire/Riverside County Fire Department, held a groundbreaking ceremony to kickoff construction of Fire Station No. 106, also known as the West Side Fire Station.  Construction of the new facility is set to begin in a few short weeks and is expected to take approximately twelve months.

The new fire station will be approximately 10,000 sq. ft. and will include living quarters, offices, a fitness center and large bays to house multiple fire apparatus. Staffing will include three-four personnel, including a paramedic to provide advanced life support care. Services from the facility will be provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days of the year. Personnel at this station will be equipped with cardiac monitors, advanced life support medications, intubation equipment, trauma life support equipment, auto extrication tools, and more. The apparatus which will be housed in the facility will be capable of suppressing structure, wildland, vehicle, and other types of fires.

The new station will decrease response times to some of our west side communities, including Olivewood, Tournament Hills, Tukwet and the new logistics centers located off of State Route 60.

The Beaumont City Council is proud to break ground for this new and much anticipated facility. The construction of this facility has been a culmination of the work the City Council has put into prioritizing public safety for our residents, but is also one of the first major projects to come into fruition since the City Council established a City-wide Capital Improvement Plan.

The City of Beaumont would like to thank the City Council Members and CalFire/Riverside County Fire for their contribution on this project. We are excited to kick-off construction and look forward to the day we get to officially open the doors to Fire Station No. 106.
